 Read later coming to WhatsApp

Usually the news comes about the features that are coming in WhatsApp. But recently, WhatsApp's name has been burning around as a result of new privacy policies that all users must accept by Feb. 8.

In this regard, the Facebook-owned WhatsApp company announced today that it has moved the date from Feb. 8 to May 15 so that users can understand the new WhatsApp policies using this interval.

Now WhatsApp is back to the old track. That means WhatsApp is getting ready to introduce a new and interesting feature in its application.According to a new report by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is working on a new feature called Read Later, which will soon be available to stable users.

This feature is said to be the best version of the archived chats feature. The WABetaInfo website also claims that this new feature is enabled in the latest 2.21.2.2 beta version of WhatsApp.Do not confuse this feature with existing archived chats. For now, if users archive a private or group chat, the specific chat will be hidden under the Archived Chats section, which will not be found in the Chats section. But when a new message arrives on the same chat it will come from the archived chats section to the chats section.

But the upcoming Read Later feature that we are talking about here will lead you to get rid of these interruptions. Once the specific feature is introduced, a new section called Read Later will be created on WhatsApp in which you can "add" the chats you want. Even if new messages come in the chats that are added like that, it will not come out of the read letter section.

The statement added, "If you do not like the Read Later feature (when this feature is enabled for everyone in the future), you can enable it via the WhatsApp chat settings if you want to" downgrade "the particular chat to the old functionality.Earlier, WhatsApp announced that it would give users more time to accept its controversial new privacy policy. That means Facebook-owned WhatsApp has announced that it will postpone the new privacy policy for a while.During the postponement, WhatsApp cited mass "confusion" and "misinformation" about the particular update.

WhatsApp, the popular instant messaging app, says it will "allow users to review the policy at their own pace before new business options become available on May 15."That means the "deadline" for new WhatsApp privacy policies, which was supposed to be mandatory, has been changed from February 8 to May 15.

"We heard from many people how confusing our latest update is. A lot of misinformation has caused concern among users. We want to help everyone understand our policies and facts." WhatsApp said in another statement.

WhatsApp has stated that the company is committed to end-to-end encryption and that "this update does not extend the ability to share data with Facebook".As a reminder, WhatsApp seems to have decided to delay the new policy somewhat after protests erupted after the company abruptly introduced its privacy changes earlier this month, with a pop-up warning that users could either accept the new policy by February 8, 2021 or lose the ability to fully use the app.
