How to Add Your Bank Account to WhatsApp

 


The recently announced WhatsApp Pay service in India has gone live with State Bank of India, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank and Axis Bank.After a two-year wait, the WhatsApp payment service that arrived in India was approved by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) last November. It ensured that the service went live with more than 160 support banks (Unified Payment Interface - UPI).

As part of that, WhatsApp Pay has now launched its service through 4 top banks in India. Also the peer-to-peer (P2P) payment feature is now available in 10 Indian regional language versions of WhatsApp.Log in to WhatsApp on your Android smartphone, open your chat window and click on the three vertical dots in the top right corner.

You will then see the Payments option in the list that appears. Click on it.When the Payments window opens, click Add new payments method.Then click accept and continue to accept WhatsApp's payment terms and privacy policy.Now, click on ‘verify via SMS’ and then click on allow.

Now select your bank name from the list of banks.Then, click on the bank account you want to add to send and receive money through WhatsApp.Then click done, and that's it.

To send money, you need to verify the last 6 digits of your debit card and its expiration date.You only have to accept the payments terms and privacy policy when setting up the particular bank.Also keep in mind that if you can not find your bank in the list, it may not support WhatsApp Pay service.
