WhatsApp is set to discontinue service on specific versions

Facebook-owned WhatsApp is set to discontinue service on specific versions of older Android and iOS devices by the end of 2020. Check out the Android and iOS versions where the service will be discontinued.

WhatsApp still has a few days to go inactive on many smartphones. In 2021, the WhatsApp service will not work at all on the Android and iOS smartphones mentioned below, as new updates will not work on many Android and iOS devices.

It has been announced that the WhatsApp service will not work on smartphones running Android 4.0.3 and iPhones running iOS 9 from next year. So now is the perfect time to save your WhatsApp chats.

On phones running on this Android and iOS operating system, the old account of users using the WhatsApp service will no longer be active next year. It has also been reported that they will no longer be able to create new WhatsApp accounts or use the old account on those devices.

As for Android smartphones, WhatsApp does not work on smartphones running Android version earlier than 4.0.3. It may feature smartphones running older versions of Android, including the HTC Desire, LG Optimus Black, Motorola Droid Razor and Samsung Galaxy S2.

It is also reported that some device users will continue to be able to use WhatsApp on their older smartphones. The reason is that the operating systems of those devices are said to have an additional connection with the update. It is better for other users to buy another smartphone to use WhatsApp.
